PRIVACY POLICY: ObviousTrades

ObviousTrades ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect,
how we use it, and your choices.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT.
- Account data: the email address and password you use to register (passwords are stored
  only as a salted cryptographic hash; we never store your plaintext password).
- Brokerage data (read-only): if you connect a brokerage account, we receive read-only
  position, balance, and order data through our third-party aggregator, SnapTrade. We never
  receive your brokerage username or password, and we cannot place trades or move funds.
- Technical data: basic logs (e.g., timestamps, error information) needed to run the service.

2. HOW WE USE IT. Solely to provide the service: analyzing your holdings to produce risk
metrics, alerts, and informational commentary. We do NOT sell your personal information or
your brokerage data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. HOW IT IS SHARED. Only with service providers that make the product work, under their own
terms: SnapTrade (read-only brokerage connectivity), our cloud hosting provider, and the
automated-analytics provider that generates risk commentary from your (de-identified where
feasible) data.
We may disclose information if required by law.

4. SECURITY. Brokerage connection tokens are encrypted at rest. We use access controls and
reasonable safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. DATA RETENTION & DELETION. We keep your data while your account is active. You may request
deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Contact below);
we will delete it except where retention is required by law.

6. YOUR CHOICES. You can disconnect your brokerage at any time, and request access to or
deletion of your data. Connecting a brokerage is entirely optional.

7. COOKIES. We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No advertising or
third-party tracking cookies.

8. CHILDREN. The service is not directed to anyone under 18.

9. CHANGES. We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here.
